Our Journey

Lebo Ni Legit is a dynmic music label and creative hub founded with the vision of empowering artists and fostering collaboration. Based in Ongata Rongai, Lebo Ni Legit was born out of a desire to provide artists with the resources and platform they need to succeed, even in the face of limited opportunities

Our label's journey began with DSense and D-Uniq , two passionate artists who united their talents to create the groundbreaking Jitu Kwa Stu album, a title that emerged during a recording session when producing "Misunderstood" by D-Uniq , and since then, we have grown into a family of diverse artists including; Yss, Silbarz, Choparboss, Jay Shubbah & Groundmasters as well as extended family members; Mc Cyrus, Dim Light, Ricky Black, Jay Dylo, Dayvy, Harmitboy, Molly G, Pendapenda, Street Rampage, Mr. Prize, Allankingrapstorm, Kapatatu & Silvacool just to mention a few & our manager Wanji Sensi.

DSense, driven by his vision to create a record label family, wanted to ensure talented & committed artists thrive in their music ambitions. His passion even led him to run for a political position to channel resources into youth talent development and digital literacy, but despite his unsuccessful bid, this setback fueled his dedication to the cause.

Seeking the support of his previous producer, Thamos, DSense learned valuable skills that would later help bring the Jitu Kwa Stu album to life. This album became a collaborative effort between brothers who are now part of form the Lebo Ni Legit family.

DSense's personal journey in music began with a desire to create a family of artists, ensuring that their talents were nurtured and showcased despite challenges in resources and accessibility to studios. His leadership has united talents like D-Uniq, Yss, Silbarz, and others, leading to the creation of the Jitu Kwa Stu album. Known for his lyrical depth and community-focused mindset, DSense continues to build the label while playing an integral role as both a performer and mentor.

D-Uniq Bio

D-Uniq, is a rapper with a raw and authentic style, has been an integral part of Lebo Ni Legit from the beginning. His collaboration with DSense on the Jitu Kwa Stu project was pivotal in shaping the label's direction. Known for his powerful verses and the memorable line "Jitu Kwa Stu" in the song "Misunderstood," D-Uniq played a key role in inspiring the album's name. Despite facing personal challenges, such as balancing work, family, and attending court hearings, D-Uniq’s dedication to music has never faltered. He remains a core artist in the label, contributing to tracks like "Shughli Nyingi" and "Don Wid De Talk," bringing his signature style to every project.

Yss Bio

Yss, a talented rapper and the official music director at Lebo Ni Legit, has been with DSense for over four years. His artistic and directorial abilities have played a crucial role in shaping the label's sound and vision. Yss's single "Well Noted," the first release from the Jitu Kwa Stu album in 2024, set the tone for the label's debut project. He has also collaborated with labelmates on tracks such as "Control Biz" and "Don Wid De Talk," showcasing his versatility and lyrical sharpness. In addition to his musical contributions, Yss also works behind the scenes, directing music videos and managing collaborations for the label.

Silbarz Bio

Silbarz is a rising rap artist within Lebo Ni Legit, known for his sharp lyricism and consistency.
